Fave Clothing Patterns and Makes *updated sep '22*

These are all the clothes I have made so far. The real purpose of this? I just wanted to compile them all in one place🙃

However, feel free to browse to find inspo for your next make. I've linked any patterns I used and included info about yarn and hook size that may be helpful.

Let's start with tops!

Daisy Square Top

I used a 4mm crochet hook and Drops Muskat 100% cotton yarn in the Desert Rose, White and Clay. It’s made with 14 daisy granny squares - seven squares lengthways and two squares width. Then I attached the yarn where I wanted to the straps, chained the length I needed before doing a sl st to attach the strap to the back of the top. Finally, I did a row of single crochet back across the chain.

Boho Tank Top

I followed this pattern but instead went for a 4mm crochet hook and DK cotton yarn for a slightly smaller top.

'Evangeline' Bralette

This bralette-style top is my own pattern that can be adjusted to any size. I was a little undecided as to whether I wanted a halter style top but changed it to have chain spaghetti straps. However, you could easily customize this into a halter tie top or make the straps thicker.

Lace Crop Top

This is one of my favourite patterns as it was the first crochet top I ever made. It was super fun to follow and taught me a lot of new skills - highly recommend! I followed KJH Creative’s gorgeous pattern for this top. It’s so pretty and detailed - especially the lace-up back! I went with Drops Muskat yarn in the shade Off-White and a 4mm hook.

Lace Crop Top (Second Style)

Again, I followed the pattern from the above top but instead of the cups in the pattern, I used cups the same as the Evangeline Bralette. After that I followed the pattern as normal and I love the result!

Ruffled Lace Top

This is probably the top I wear the most. It's by ChendaDIY and has a video tutorial so it's really easy to follow and perfect for any skill level. I used a 3.5mm hook, DK 100% cotton yarn and skipped Row 18 and 19 to get similar measurements - 7 inches height, 22.4 inches width.

Hot Cocoa Top

This is a paid pattern on Etsy by HelleboreCrochet - link here. It has amazing reviews and I really like how mine turned out. I do want to mention I originally made the xs and it was way more cropped than expected, so instead I made the small and much preferred it. I'd really recommend doing a gauge swatch before starting just to make sure you get the size right for you.

Halter Lace Top

Unfortunately, I don't have a pattern for this as I freehanded it on a whim just to keep me busy. It was inspired by similar tops I've seen on Pinterest and I ended up making one in pink as well.

Multi-colour Tie-Strap Top

This was super easy to work up. I made a foundation half double crochet with how long I wanted the top to be and then used Yarn Over
Slip Stitch (tutorial video here) until it was wide enough to fit around me. For the last 14sts at the bottom I used a smaller hook just to
create that slightly smaller ribbing for extra detail. For the straps I attached the yarn and did a chain on the back and front so I could
tie them together.
I used Mariner mermaid chunky yarn in Lilac Sky. It was a gift from a friend and I really wanted to use it because multicolour yarns are
so pretty and fun to work with.

Watermelon Top

For this I followed this video tutorial by Krystal Everdeen (who is absolutely amazing and has so many tutorials - highly recommend!). I just changed the colours to look like a watermelon and sewed some black yarn on for the seeds. I used a 4.5mm hook and Drops Muskat 100% cotton yarn in Coral, White and Mint Green.

Halter Top with Lace Trim

I followed the same pattern as the watermelon top above for this, instead using cotton blend DK yarn. I made up the lace trim as I went along but you can find plenty of diagram tutorials for lace on Pinterest and find one you like!

Corset Style Off-Shoulder Top

I couldn't find a pattern for this anywhere or the original artist but I really wanted to make this top. I freehanded it as best as I could using daisy granny squares and dc rows across the top. It ended up being pretty similar after a few attempts.

'Angelica' Crop Top

This top is my own pattern. The main piece is very minimalistic and simple but the straps are more detailed. This makes it perfect for beginners that want to also have a go at lace-style crochet. Visual patterns are included along with written pattern to help. Link here.

Moving on to Jumpers and Cardigans!

Rue Cardigan by MongsCrochet

This is a paid for pattern on Etsy but I think it's really worth it. It teaches you a basis for making cardigans and made me feel more confident in my ability to make my own however I want using this pattern as a guide. I've made three of these cardigans now. The pink one pictured below was made with acrylic DK yarn but I've also used 100% cotton DK and even chunky fluffy yarn. All of them turned out amazing!

Jumper Sleeves

Tiktok tutorial by KnotYourAbuela Part 1 and Part 2. I used Kingcole Acorn Aran yarn in the colour Juniper with a 5mm hook.

And... dresses!

Fleur Dress

This is a paid pattern by GottaHookCrochet - Etsy link here. It comes with a pattern for the dress and a top in the same style. This uses the sedge stitch which was a new one for me and I really enjoyed learning this. I used Drops Muskat yarn in Light Denim and Denim with a 4mm and 5.5mm hook.

Basic Cut-Out Dress

This was freehanded but essentially I made two cups and sewed them together facing inwards. I made a rectangle panel beneath this and then crocheted across the bottom edge to begin the skirt. I used a dc st and increased on every 10th st, then 14th st until I was happy was the width of the skirt. I just continued adding dc rows until I was also happy with the length. Yarn used: Drops Muskat in Clay with a 4mm hook.

Finally, accessories!

Market Bag

I use this bag all the time to go to work with and I've received so may compliments for it. It works up pretty fast and is the perfect basic bag with that little bit more added detail to make it unique. Highly recommend this one! Pattern here
I used Drops Muskat yarn and a 4.5mm hook.

Boho Circle Bag

I love this bag for summer when you don't want to carry a lot with you. It was super quick and easy to make so I made a couple of these for friends too. For this I used Drops Paris yarn in Dark Beige and a 6mm crochet hook. I followed this pattern but didn’t do the last few rounds so I had a smaller bag. I also made simple chain straps instead.

Lace Belt

For this cute boho-style belt I followed this pattern exactly by OneDutchStitch. Again, I used Drops Muskat yarn in Off-White and a 4.5mm hook.
