Row 1: ch 47. Turn and work from 2 ch from hook.

Make 2 surface slip stitches.

Repeat this method until the end of the round. Repeat this on the fifth round.

Crochet four evenly spaced tentacles on Round 7, one of each colour.

Star (off-white):

R2: *ch4, sl st in second ch from hook, sc, hdc, sk next sc from Round 1, sl st into next sc*

repeat *to* for four more times.

Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing.

Assembly:

Crochet the head and bottom together using slip stitch. Use the front loops as a guide for where to insert your hook on the octopus head.

Then insert your hook under both loops of the last rnd on the Bottom piece. Yarn over and pull through loop. Repeat around, stuffing as you go.

Details:
Sew the star onto the side of the head. Sew the mouth using black thread/yarn. I also added dark pink yarn across two stitches under the eyes for blush.
