FREE PATTERN *SIZE INCLUSIVE* ‘Evangeline’ Bralette Pattern

This pattern can be adjusted to any desired size. For reference I’m usually a xxs and I include the stitch counts and measurements I used to make mine. Visual patterns and photos are included as well as written pattern.

My instagram is @summerinastitch if you have any questions. Feel free to share or sell if you make this top, just make sure you credit me :)

For this pattern you’ll need:

  • Yarn of your choice and recommended hook size for yarn. I recommend using cotton or cotton blend yarn for clothing items as I find it's easier to take care of and doesn't snag or pull.
  • Stitch markers (recommended)
  • Measuring tape
  • Tapestry needle
I used...

-4mm crochet hook
-approx 200g of Drops Muskat 100% cotton yarn in Powder Pink.

Skills and abbreviations:

  •  chain - ch
  •  slip stitch - sl st
  •  single crochet - sc
  •  double crochet - dc

Attach your yarn to the bottom outer corner of your other cup. Repeat Row 1 to 17. Don’t fasten off.

For the bottom:

Row 1: sc across the bottom of your side panel, bottom of both cups and across the bottom of your other side panel.

You’ll need to count how many stitches you have across the bottom. This is X

109 (121, 133, 145, 157) minus X will equal the number of you need to chain.

Check your top fits around you. It’s okay if you have to stretch it a little. This is where you can size up/down to get your perfect fit.

Row 2: sl st into the outer corner your other side panel. ch3, dc into the next stitch. dc109 (121, 133, 145, 157). sl st into your chain.

Row 3: ch3, turn your work, dc around.

Repeat Row 3 one more row or until your desired length.

For the lace:

You’ll now be working in the round instead of turning your work. A visual pattern is also included below for reference.

Row 1: ch4, sk 3, sc. Repeat around.

Row 2: dc6 into your previous ch4 loop. sc1 into your next previous ch4 loop. ch4, sc into your next previous ch4 loop. Repeat around.

Row 3: dc1, ch1 x5. dc1. sc into ch4 loop below. Repeat around.

Row 4: *dc3 into your below ch1. ch4, sl st into first chain. Repeat 5 times. sl st into your previous sc.* Repeat *to* around.

Fasten off.

For the straps:

Attach your yarn to the top middle of one of your cups. Chain how long you need your strap to be. I did 65. sc into the  back band of your top where you want your strap to end.

Fasten off.

Repeat on the other side.

Optional: sew 4 stitches of the cups together, you can sew a few less or more... or leave it open if you prefer it that way!

Once you weave in your ends, you’re finished!
